Ministry green light for regions to extend the deadline in reporting for millers who have benefited from NRP resources to modernize their facilities.
A deadline scheduled for March 27 and with respect to which Foa Italia had urged a postponement due to bureaucratic delays blamed by the regions that could have risked blowing up the disbursement of the resources due.
Clearing the field of doubts and misunderstandings came a note from Masaf executive Giuseppe Blasi released today.
“They come to this Ministry ,” writes Blasi. Requests for clarification regarding DM December 22, 2025 No. 690640 that reshuffles the financial resources and modifies the timetable of activities aimed at achieving the target of measure M2C1 I2.3 in relation to the deadline set out in the target reporting timetable. In this regard, it is clarified that the deadline reported in Article 2 of the decree and precisely the one related to March 27, 2026 – Phase A- Transmission to the implementing entity, by the beneficiaries, of the acts related to the reporting of the target, was identified in order to allow the Regions and Autonomous Provinces to have time for the preliminary activities of Phase B and precisely to the Transmission to MASAF by the implementing entities of the acts related to the reporting of the target, scheduled for May 29, 2026. Given the above, it seems clear that these Regions and Autonomous Provinces, within the scope of their autonomy and organization, depending on specific needs or territorial assessments may postpone the deadline for Phase A, while still ensuring compliance with the deadline for Phase B (May 29, 2026).”
Clear and comprehensive words, with respect to which it is hoped that the regions will now act accordingly.
FOA Italia President Michele Librandi expressed satisfaction with the incorporation of the petition forwarded by the association last March 18: “We welcome the clarification from MASAF, which promptly responds to the comments submitted by FOA Italia on March 18. The ministerial note introduces an element of flexibility that is essential for the proper management of the reporting procedures, avoiding potential bureaucratic criticalities for the beneficiaries of the measure.” On upcoming implementation steps, President Librandi added:
“It is desirable that regional authorities and autonomous provinces implement the Ministry’s guidance in a timely manner. We urge the relevant administrations to consider rescheduling the Phase A deadlines, thereby ensuring effective coordination to successfully target the national deadline of May 29, 2026.”
